Mentoring at the Village
Mentors change lives. With purposeful mentoring, kids are more likely to graduate high school and less likely to use illegal substances or abuse alcohol. We are looking for individuals and families interested in investing in the lives of children and youth at Restoration Village. Much like Big Brothers Big Sisters, our mentorship program seeks to enable the kids at the Village to experience new things, explore shared interests, and help support the parent/child relationship at home. Mentors will also work in cooperation with the Child Advocate and provide feedback regarding any needs they may identify for the child/youth who they are mentoring.
We are looking for adults (age 18+) to mentor school-age children and teenagers. Older teenagers (16+) can serve as mentors for school age children. Mentors need to commit to working with their mentee for 6-8 hours a month and participating in the program for at least a full year.
